Zhao Caier (赵采儿), also known as Alyssa (엘리샤), is a Chinese singer under Letong Times Entertainment. She is a former member of South Korean girl group TURAN, and a former guest member of the South Korean girl group UNIZ.
She made her solo debut on May 19, 2016, with the digital single "开口说爱你".
Career[]
2013–2016: TURAN, UNIZ[]
On July 10, 2013, she made her debut as a member of TURAN with their first digital single "Shotgun".[1]
In 2015, Alyssa returned to China and released her first solo digital single "暖暖的" on July 15, 2015.[2][3] Around this time, she promoted with UNIZ as a guest member on their performances in China.[4]
On April 26, 2016, she formed a duo with member Lian and released a mini album titled Hello TURAN in China under TURAN's name. The mini album was planned by the two members without TURAN's agency.[5] However, plans for the duo were scrapped due to the THAAD political conflict.[6]
By late 2016, TURAN was replaced with an entirely lineup so it was assumed that she had left the group.
2016-present: Solo career[]
On May 19, 2016, she officially made her solo debut with the digital single "开口说爱你", under her real name Zhao Cai Er.[7]
In March 2017, she signed a contract with Letong Times Entertainment.[8]
