Zhang Xinmei (张欣媚) is a Chinese singer and actress under TH Entertainment. She is a former member of the girl group U5 and the pre-debut girl group AWINK.
She made her solo debut on September 16, 2020, with the digital single "Tell Me Why".
She is known for being a contestant on the reality survival show and Produce Camp 2020.
Career[]
2017-2019: U5[]
She participated in the ZJTV reality show Burn U5 which first aired on April 1, 2017. On the final episode she was announced as a member of the girl group U5.[1] The group debuted on July 14, 2017, with the digital single "Call Me".
The group presumably disbanded sometime in late 2019, as they have been inactive since then.
2019-2020: AWINK, Produce Camp 2020, Solo debut with "Tell Me Why"[]
On November 6, 2019, she was revealed as a member of the pre-debut girl group AWINK through the training variety show T-House.[2]
She participated in the Tencent survival reality show Produce Camp 2020 which first aired May 2, 2020 as a representative of TH Entertainment and AWINK. She was eliminated on the 4th episode in 62nd place.
On July 23, 2020, a second season of T-House was announced to further continue the training of AWINK.[3] However, the show was assumed to be cancelled and AWINK silently disbanded.
On September 16, 2020, she made her solo debut with the digital single "Tell Me Why".
