Xin Liu (刘雨昕; stylized as XIN Liu) is a Chinese singer-songwriter, rapper, and model under Asian Music Group and 88rising. She is a former member of the girl group LadyBees and project girl group THE9.
She made her solo debut on May 20, 2018, with the EP Xin.
She is known for being a contestant on the survival reality shows LadyBees and Youth With You 2.
2012-2013: Up! Juniors, So You Think You Can Dance[]
She participated in the Hunan TV reality survival show Up! Juniors, which first aired April 13, 2012. She was selected as one of the top nine competitors and was the only female member of the show's final dance team.[1]
She participated in the Dragon TV reality competition show So You Think You Can Dance which first aired February 16, 2013. She won with a unanimous vote and became the first female captain of the show.
2016-2019: LadyBees, LadyBees, Solo debut with Xin[]
She participated in the Zhejiang Satellite TV reality survival show LadyBees, which first aired March 12, 2016. On May 28, she was selected as one of nine trainees to form the girl group LadyBees. The group made their official debut on June 15 with the EP Lady Bees.[2]
On May 20, 2018, she released her first self-titled solo EP, Xin, with "Feel Good" as the main track.
Sometime in 2019 the group stopped promoting and was assumed to be disbanded.
2020-2021: Youth With You 2, THE9[]
She participated in the iQIYI reality survival show Youth With You 2 which first aired on March 12, 2020. On May 30, she placed 1st on the final episode, thus becoming a member and the center of the project girl group THE9. The group made their official debut on August 10 with the digital single "SphinX".[3]
On December 5, 2021, the group disbanded after their contract had ended. Liu Yuxin returned to Asian Music Group to continue her promotions as a solo artist and model.
