THE9 (无限少女; also known as Infinite Girls) was a nine-member Chinese project girl group under Idol Youth Entertainment. Formed through IQiYi's survival reality show Youth With You 2, they debuted on August 10, 2020 with their first digital single "SphinX".
They were active for a year and a half before officially disbanding on December 5, 2021.

Pre-debut: Youth With You 2[]

On March 12, 2020, the first episode of IQiYi's third installment of the Idol Producer franchise, Youth With You 2 premeired. The live finale broadcast on May 30 revealed the top nine winners who would become the girl group THE9. The members consist of LadyBees members Liu Yuxin and Kong Xueer, SNH48 and 7SENSES member Xu Jiaqi, former Legal High member Xie Keyin, Hickey member An Qi, FANXYRED member Lu Keran, and actresses Yu Shuxin, Yu Yan, and Zhao Xiaotang.
2020: "SphinX", MatriX[]
On August 10, the group made their official debut with the digital single "SphinX". The single sold more than 400,000 digital copies the first hour it released on the QQ Music platform.[1]
On December 25, they released their first studio album MatriX, with "Dumb Dumb Bomb" as the title track and nine solo tracks.
2021: X-CITY, "RefleXtion", "The Nine", disbandment[]

On March 26 to 27, THE9 held their first online concert titled X-CITY. The concert utilized innovative XR technology and had thousands of live viewers.[2]
On May 22, they released their second digital single "RefleXtion" as a celebration of the group's first anniversary.
On October 13, it was announced that THE9 would be disbanding with the graduation concert The Mobius Path to be held in Guangzhou on November 13 to 14 and Suzhou November 27 to 28.[3] However, due to rising COVID-19 conditions in China, the concert was post-poned.[4][5]
On December 5, they released their third and final digital single "The Nine". The group officially disbanded the same day.[6]
2022: The Mobius Path cancelled[]
On July 26, it was announced that THE9's graduation concert The Mobius Path concert will be held in Harbin on August 19 to 20.[7] However, the concert was ultimately cancelled due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
2023: It Can Be Reached As Far As Possible[]
On September 28, it was announced THE9 will hold an official reunion and graduation concert titled It Can Be Reached As Far As Possible from October 27 to 28 in Nanjing.[8]
