On November 22, 2022, the official Weibo account revealed Victor left the group to focus on his studies.[2]
They were expected to debut in the second half of 2024 according to JYP Entertainment's investors report.[3]
On March 13, 2025, Through the group's weibo they shared an account called CIIU and with the tags #CIIU, Confirming their debut name as CIIU, Meaning Closer To (II) U, Their name was also included as CIIU in the 2025 First Line-Up Expansion, With plans to debut in the second half of 2025.[4]
