AKB48 Team SH (SH队; short for Shanghai) is a girl group under Shanghai Shangyue Culture. They debuted on December 3, 2018 with the digital single "Love Trip".

They're the fourth international sister group of Japanese girl group AKB48.

History[]

2017-2020

2017: Announcement and AKB48 China Audition[]

On October 26, the AKB48 official blog announced that a new Chinese sister group will be established with joint operation by the Chinese and Japanese operation teams based in Shanghai, China. The same day, the "AKB48 China Audition" was announced to scout the group's first members in order to help promote the group. Initially it was revealed there will be three candidates however, one left shortly before the official reveal.

2018: 1st generation, "LOVE TRIP"[]

On March 27, Liu Nian and Mao Weijia were announced as the group's first members and that they would be participating on Produce 101 China.

On July 24, Chen Yixin, Dai Ziyan, Dong Fangchi, Guan Tiantian, Li Shiqi, Liu Hui, Liu Yihan, Shen Ying, Shi Keyan, Song Xinran, Wan Fangzhou, Wang Yuduo, Wei Xin, Wu Anqi, Xu Yiting, Ye Zhien, Yuan Ruixi, Zhai Yujia, Zhou Nianqi, Zhu Ling, and Zhuang Xiaoti were announced as the group's first generation.

On November 15, Mao Weijia was appointed as the first captain of the group.

On December 3, the group made their official debut with the digital pre-release single "Love Trip". 21 members were selected to participate in the single with Liu Nian as center. The same day, Liu Hui resigned from the group.

2019: Shonichi, "No Way Man", "Kimi ni Tsuite", So long!, Shoujotachi yo, 2nd generation, "Sustainable", 1st anniversary concert, 365nichi no Sustainable[]

On January 14, they released their first EP Shonichi. Sixteen members were selected to participate in the main track with Liu Nian and Zhai Yujia as centers.

On March 25, they released their second digital pre-release single "No Way Man". Sixteen members were selected to participate in the single with Xu Yiting as center.

On May 20, they released their third digital pre-release single "Kimi ni Tsuite". Ten members were selected to participate in the single with Liu Nian and Mao Weijia as centers.

On June 10, they released their second EP So long!. Sixteen members were selected to participate in the main track with Liu Nian as center.

On July 29, they released their third EP Shoujotachi yo. Sixteen members were selected to participate in the main track with Li Shiqi and Shen Ying as centers.

On August 25, Cheng Anzi, Gong Luwen, Gui Chuchu, Hu Xinyin, Jian Qiangwei, Kong Kexin, Li Yumiao, Risa, Liang Shian, Liu Liu, Pan Qiuyi, Pu Zhiying, Shi Aibei, Tan Junxi, Wang Yuran, Wu Yiting, Xiong Fangni, Zeng Sichun, Zhang Qianfei, Zhang Qiaoyu, Zhang Yinglu, and Zou Ruonan were announced as the group's second generation.

On September 20, they released their fourth digital pre-release single "Sustainable". Sixteen members were selected to participate in the main track with Liu Nian as center.

On November 3, it was announced that second generation trainee member Liu Liu had resigned from the group.

On November 23, the group held their AKB48 Team SH "365nichi no Sustainable" 1st Anniversary Concert at Bandai Namco Dream Hall in Shanghai, China.

On November 25, they released their first studio album 365nichi no Sustainable with "Bokutachi wa Tatakawanai" as the main track. Sixteen members were selected to participate in the main track with Mao Weijia as center.

2020-present

2020: Kaze wa Fuiteiru, 3rd generation, 1st election[]

On April 2, second generation trainee member Risa was dismissed from the group.

On March 12, the iQIYI survival reality show Youth With You 2 first aired with 1st generation member Shen Ying and 2nd generation member Hu Xinyin as contestants.

On May 2, the Tencent survival reality show Produce Camp 2020 first aired with 1st generation members Liu Nian, Zhu Ling, Wan Fangzhou, and Wang Yuduo as contestants.

On June 7, the group had its first performance of their first stage "Thumbnail", a revival of AKB48's 7th Special Stage in mandarin.

On July 31, first generation members Chen Yixin and Guan Tiantian graduated from the group.

On September 5, they released their fourth EP Kaze wa Fuiteiru. Sixteen members were chosen to participate in the main track with Liu Nian and Gui Chuchu as centers.

September 8, it was announced that first generaton member Dai Ziyan graduated from the group.

On September 26, Chen Zhangyuan, Li Jiahui, Ma Xiaoyu, Peng Luxuan, Qiu Dier, Wang Anni, Wang Xuanya, Xie Wenjie, Zhang Jiazhe, and Zhou Chenyuxuan were announced as the group's third generation.

On October 5, it was announced that third generation trainee member Zhou Chenyuxuan was dismissed from the group.

On November 28, the group held its first annual popularity election to determine the participating members for their fifth EP. 2nd generation member Zeng Sichun won first overall.

2021: Iiwake Maybe, 4th generation, 千秋令[]

On April 8, they released their fifth EP Iiwake Maybe. The top 21 members from the first election participated in the main track with the winner, Zeng Sichun, as center.

On April 17, Chen Jiayi, Wu Fan, Zeng Yi, Zhang Yilin, and Zhu Jingchen were announced as the group's first draft generation.

On June 26, the group had its final performance of "Thumbnail". Two months later, on August 1, the group had its first performance of their second stage "Renai Kinshi Jourei", a revival of AKB48 Team A's 5th stage in mandarin.

On August 14, the group had its first performance of its first trainee member stage "Thumbnail". The same day Wang Xiaoyang was announced as the group's fourth generation along with the first draft members.

On September 30, they released their sixth EP 千秋令. Sixteen members were selected to participate in the main track with Ye Zhien as center.

On November 22, the group held its second annual popularity election to determine the participating members for their seventh EP. 1st generation member Liu Nian won first overall.

2022: Oogoe Diamond, 5th generation, Ponytail to Shushu[]

On February 2, it was announced that second generation member Liang Shian graduated from the group.

On April 1, they released their seventh EP Oogoe Diamond. The top sixteen members from the second election participated in the main track with the winner, Liu Nian, as center.

On September 1, it was announced that first generation member Wang Yuduo graduated from the group.

On September 3, Du Xinyi, Wang Yuting, Zhang Shiyu, Zhang Yaqian, and Zheng Yushan were announced as the group's fifth generation.

On September 30, they released their eighth EP Ponytail to Shushu. Sixteen members were selected to participate in the main track with Gui Chuchu and Qiu Dier as centers.

On December 3, the group held its third annual popularity election to determine the participating members for their ninth EP. 1st generation member Liu Nian won first overall.

2023: Sentimental Train, 6th generation, Hisashiburi no Lip Gloss[]

On February 22, it was announced that second generation trainee member Wang Yuran was dismissed from the group.

On March 31, they released their ninth EP, Sentimental Train. The top sixteen members from the third election participated in the main track with the winner, Liu Nian, as center.

On April 8, the group had its first performance of their special summer stage "遇见你后夏天开始了".

On May 17, it was announced that second generation trainee member Pan Qiuyi was dismissed from the group.

On October 4, Huang Zhenxuan, Lu Xi, and Wei Xiaoya were announced as the group's sixth generation.

On October 28, it was announced that second generation member Hu Xinyin graduated from the group.

On December 31, they released their tenth EP, Hisashiburi no Lip Gloss. Sixteen members were selected to participate in the main track with Zhu Ling as center.
